To bring back into use a vital community facility by renovating an existing empty building in the centre of the village to incorporate a Tearoom, craft/gift display and Interpretative display of ‘Jura Life’.
The project will provide for the community social & recreational opportunities currently lacking which are easily accessible to all age groups and levels of mobility.
This proposal will provide employment/enterprise opportunities both in the construction and running stages and provide a retail outlet for local craftspeople.

Full Architect drawings produced.
Planning decision pending.
Business Plan completed.

Total project cost: - £240,000
Costs secured to date to progress the project: - £56,000 :-
Awarded in grants from The Scottish Land Fund, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Argyll & The Islands Enterprise, The Big Lottery and WHELK Leader +.
Funding secured for the capital costs: - £3,000.
Application to the Lottery: - £120,000
Funding shortfall: - £117,000.
